The Deputy Director of the Advanced Division has the responsibility of managing the assigned 135 Instrument Instructor Pilots who teach the Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course for Instrument flight qualification, the Rotary Wing Instrument Flight Examiner’s Course, the Rotary Win Instrument Course and the Advanced IFR Training Course.  The Deputy Director is also responsible for counseling all students who receive unsatisfactory evaluations during their training, and making recommendations to the Student Management Officer 1/223d Aviation Regiment as to the student’s disposition.
